This musical moment from the 1967 movie is dedicated to all the wonderful teachers who have, and continue to, make a difference in our lives and the lives of our children and our society. Welcome to my Blog of Best Musical Moments in Movies. I have always loved watching "List Shows". You know .... those shows which count down the top 100 movies, albums, artists, etc., giving a brief commentary on each along the way. I keep hoping to see one featuring "The Best Musical Moments in Movies" but still haven't. While I'm waiting, I decided to put one together myself and share it with you all.

I'm not talking about Musicals (though I love a good Rogers & Hammerstein production now and then). Nor am I talking about movie soundtracks (though who can resist a John Williams score). The list I am talking about is a list of "musical moments". Those special scenes in movies where a spontaneous song advances the plot, or a cameo musical performance is used well; when a musical scene is both memorable and entertaining. There are funny musical moments, moments which put a smile in your heart, ones which surprise and delight you, and all adding so much to the movies we love. I tried to keep the list well rounded, however, obviously it will reflect my personal taste and, of course, be limited to movies which I have seen. I hope you enjoy viewing the list as much as I have enjoyed putting it together.
